I wonder if the collapse of the American economy could be US governments way of converting over to the Euro ?
What do you think? The Euro is strong. The bible predicts a one one world government. I have heard that the "Anti Christ" will come form Europe. A one world government would require one monetary system, and the Euro is so strong. Our dollar is so weak right now. Is it possible end times are nearer than we think? I am not christian ( reformed ) Does ones religious prefrence determine how one would answer this question?

- Your position is ludicrous.
- The Euro is for countries belonging to the European Union and is not applicable to North America. Religious preference has little to do with factual data or logical conclusion. It's acceptable to be pragmatic and still to be a Christian.
- what kind of Bible do you have??? There's nothing in the Bible that says that the Anti-Christ comes from Europe. The EU is a EUROPEAN organisation, not a world government, that would be something like the UN or the US since they insist on having their way all the time regardless of where they are. Plus the dollar is sinking because Americans can't seem to be responsible with their money. You guys are drowning in debts! How many billions does the US owe to China?
- I think religious preference dictacts wether you see us converting to the Euro as a good thing or a bad thing. I think a gereral opinion of your statement is how the person answering feels about the government. If they are all for the governement etc- most likely they will say the dollar will come back strong etc etc.. the mentality of "oh our government is great they would never do or let anything harm us" if you're more of a skeptic of our government and dont believe they have our best interest in mind- you will probably answer in agreement with your statement that its the governments way of making it 'ok' with the citizens to covert to the Euro.
- Let's not confuse Christianity with Capitalism. There are enough preachers that do that already. We are VERY far from one world government and one world currency. Great Britain still has not adopted the Euro even though it is part of European community for passport/travel purposes. The countries that agree to use the Euro had to agree to a pegging of their currency beforehand and had to practice certain monetary policies that the U.S. (and the U.K for that matter) have never agreed to.
- I'm not at all rligious, but I'll try to answer. i really hope that the euro stays in europe - since it came into being, prices on almost everything have doubled. Apparently the central banks are working on a North American Currency -which is a great idea if you're a central bank, not so great if you're an everage joe. The end times are not yet near - it's going to get a lot worse before it gets any better. Just my $0.02....which after adjustment for inflation and exchange is about a handful of pocket lint.
- It's very possible. Many things are happening to move us closer to the mark of the beast. I think currency will be eventually done away with altogether. Then checks of any kind. Everyone will carry debit cards. Through the use of scare tactics, that is, debit cards can be stolen or your identity can be stolen, there will be a big push to put permanat marks on people to prevent theft or forgery. That will be the mark of the beast. If you refuse it, you won't be able to buy or sell anything. You won't be able to legally work. All deposits and debits will be done by computer using your mark to identify your account. The Bible states those that refuse will be beheaded. The scary part is that there is a religion now that beheads people who disagree with them. Do I need to name them?
- The dollar has been weak before and has rebounded. And it will rebound again. Back in the 1970's the Canadian dollar was valued more than the US dollar. There is almost always a currency stronger than the dollar. Again back to the 70's, the English Pound was strong against our dollar, but we didn't convert to pounds. Also, a weak dollar actually benefits our economy. It encourages foreign investment, and our countries exports become cheaper compared to other countries. Every day, there is someone, somewhere predicting the end of the earth and our civilization. No one has been correct yet, and I don't expect anyone to be correct anytime soon. The world will come to a physical end when the sun goes to its Red Giant stage in a few billion years. But before that time civilization on this planet will have ceased to exist due to the inconstant output of the sun. I consider myself a Christian, but not in the traditional sense. I have not allowed religious interpretations (the Bible) to influence my beliefs on how the world will end.
- HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! stay in school, kids!
- That's an interesting theory. However, while I do believe that there will be a global monetary document, it will be quite a while before that happens. There should be equality in the value of the money. That will level the stock markets, and make investments in the money markets non profitable. Have you ever thought about what money is? It's very interesting.
- I was JUST thinking about that. And yes, one's religious beliefs definitely dictate how they would respond to this question. But instead of the euro, the dollar would first switch to the Amero... (click on the source link to read more)... A lot of the prophecies from the Old and New Testaments are coming to pass. Why not the formation of one world economy? After all isn't one of the biggest buzz words of the day globalization? And that's not a sacred idea, it's a business term.
- Lay-off, that`s impossible. The currency itself implies that EURO. A currence designed specially for EU countries. Why should the US benefit from EURO`s?
- The collapse of the dollar would require the creation of, or the conversion to, another currency. More than likely it would be a regional (Canada, U.S., Mexico) or global currency. I also believe it would be electronic (cashless) because it would eliminate the expense of printing paper money and manufacturing coins.
- Check out the Amero! It's real... and soon on the way! Google it... there is soon to be a North American Union between the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. The Amero is the governments solution to the weak dollar... which will eventually lead to the opening of the borders, the abolishment of our constitution and civil rights. Hence, we don't have much longer before we lose our freedom! Wake up folks... the scene has been set... the grand finally is on it's way! Biblical prophecy will come to pass exactly as the Bible has stated!
