Euro J

What is the probability of the Pound sliding further against the Euro if interest rates are cut again ?

I am going to Euroland and not sure if to buy some euro in the morning before the announcement?

  1. Buy them before !
  2. It depends when you are going, interest rates may decrease in euroland, which might make a difference in the exchange in the not too distant future. The currency rates are up and down. Today was slightly better. But not anywere near last years rate. I have always got a better deal by going to an actual bank in Euroland. Most of the staff speak English in the banks and will give you a slightly better rate in comparison to some UK banks, as long as you have bank of england notes. Remember they will also charge commission usually about 2 to 3 euros. So exchange your money all in one go. Do not go to shop selling euros or at the airports in euroland. If you are not confident going to a bank in Euroland and prefer to convert in UK, shop around.
