What country should I visit for Foreign exchange and Reasons?

i have a choice of France or USA next year for foreign exchange. Both leaving in August 09. Which one should I go to? I would be going for 5 Months. I dont know much french. I know the basics a.k.a My name is It is 6 o clock those things Im from australia. Which country should I go to? and reasons?

1. Don't come here, to the U.S. The U.S. is like dying. I would suggest France. Europe is a lot better off. Anyways you already know english right? You should do a language that is not your first language. Even if you're not good. Practice is very good, and knowing two languages is VERY good. If you know english and french, then you can go to canada.
2. The best part of an exchange is learning a new language so GO FOR IT! And go to france!
3. Do yourself a favor that you won't regret-- go to FRANCE! It really is so beautiful, theres more history, and your more able to travel around other european countries, unlike the u.s. where you would probably be cold turkey, stuch in one area. Also to mention we have VERY bad public transportation. You really won't be able to travel much or get around well unless you have a car. Or your in NYC or something. Lastly, America is very modern, France isn't. Not to mention the French are more kind than americans and if your under 21 here forget about getting drink. Ok I'm stopping, just go to France trust me your make friendships for a lifetime, and have a better experience. btw almost everyone speaks english there anyway.
