The Euro - Exchange Rates? I have a mental block re: exchange rates. I was saying tonight that if in the Uk you have money invested in Ireland and the pound becomes stronger then if you have invested for example, £50,000, if the pound becomes stronger then when exchanged you will loose out. He agreed with this but then said that at present, the euro is 1.32 to the £1 but that at one point, it was 0.732 to the £1 and that the £1 was stronger at that point. To me at 0.732 to the £1 the pound is stronger.
